The Suffragette Movement

HISTORY ESSAY (Jacob Simone) 1) Source A and B support that the suffragettes had to resort to violence, but in source A it seems as though the suffragettes throw the bricks to be noniced and show that they be determined to achieve much equality between men and women whatever it takes, whereas in source B, Emmeline Pankhurst is complaining that men would not be hard-boiled as severely as the women were if they had starchy windows, so they did it to prove that men and women were not being treated equally. Both sources agree that the suffragettes had to resort to violence, but source A shows that they had to do it to raise awareness and show they were going to postulate for what they wanted but source B complains that they were treated other than to how men would have been when they made the act. 2) Source C is much useful than source D in explaining the methods of the suffragettes even though it does not seem that they are going to chain themselves out-o f-doors the government building unless you read the writing about the source. As you can see by the picture they are intermediate to upper class and well dressed and they do this to rally as if they aren’t going to protest. In Source D the extract tells us what has happened, but it does not explain the methods move over by the suffragettes.

Source C shows us one of the many methods used by the suffragettes, but there were many others, for good example they would do things like heckling, using arson and smashing windows.
